We will discuss a wide variety of topics in computer science and mathematics.
Acceptance into the CSEMS scholarship program or permission of one of the program directors.
Handouts and research papers will be distributed in class.
The following grading scale is used in this course:
Mentoring and Services (A list will be provided in class) 20%
Semester Project 30%
Class attendance and participation 15%
Group Meetings 15%
Individual Assignments (Resume, Applications to Graduate School/Internship, Reports, etc) 20%
You are required to attend all classes. You will lose 5% of your semester grade for each unexcused absence, except in extreme circumstance.
Assignments are due at the beginning of the class on due date. You are required to type all the assignments and reports.
All assignments MUST be completed by students
individually. No collaboration is allowed for completing assignments,
unless it is given as a group assignment. Please see
